The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) holds the UKPSC JE Exam to recruit candidates for Junior Engineer positions in various departments of the Uttarakhand Government.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a citizen of India.
- Should be a domicile of Uttarakhand.
- Must have passed a diploma in civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Agriculture Engineering from a recognized institute.
- Age should be between 18 and 42 years old as of July 1, 2023.
Exam Pattern:
The UKPSC JE Exam is an online computer based test (CBT) consisting of two papers:
- Paper 1: General Engineering
- Paper 2: Specific Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Agriculture)
- Each paper has a duration of 3 hours and carries 150 marks.
- The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English language.

- General Topics: Engineering Mathematics, Basic Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machines, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Electrical Technology, Engineering Materials, Environmental Engineering, Disaster Management.
- Civil Engineering: Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Concrete Technology, Structural Analysis, Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering.
- Mechanical Engineering: Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Machine Design, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Manufacturing Processes.
- Electrical Engineering: Electrical Circuits, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems, Electronics and Instrumentation.
- Agriculture Engineering: Soil Mechanics, Irrigation Engineering, Agricultural Machinery and Power Engineering, Food Engineering, Farm Structures and Environmental Engineering.
UKPSC JE 2023 Exam Pattern
The UKPSC JE Exam is held to assess applicants’ knowledge and skills for Junior Engineer positions in various departments of the Uttarakhand Government. The exam format is intended to assess general engineering knowledge as well as specialized engineering specializations.
